1,083 Event Attendees Later

I had 1,083 people attend my events this year.

Pretty wild when I think about it.

Taking a Break

I’m taking a break from events for a bit to rethink my approach and strategy.

Here’s what’s bouncing around in my head right now.

Plan

  1. Small regional gatherings: I want to run intimate events for 25-50 business owners. These would be single-day sessions focused on peer learning, with some light programming and shared meals. I’d document everything to share with small business owners.
  2. In-person peer groups: These would be led by members of my community.
  3. Virtual peer groups: I’ve promised a lot of small business owners I’d start these. It’s finally time to launch many of them.

The Problems

I’m trying to solve two main problems for small business owners:

  1. They’re feeling isolated and alone
  2. They need better ways to share knowledge with each other

Big Picture

There are so many ambitious people out there testing new approaches in traditional small businesses.

They’re trying new operational tactics, but there’s not enough sharing happening.

I see a big opportunity to facilitate more of that exchange.

Topics

This covers everything from AI and automation to new software systems, employee incentives, and leadership practices.

I think I can help by creating spaces for people to share their tactics and lessons learned.

This way, everyone can reach their goals faster with fewer headaches.

What’s Next

Right now, we’ve got all these people blazing parallel trails.

I bet we could all move quicker if we combined our knowledge.

I’m just trying to figure out how to make that happen – and honestly, I’m wondering if people even want that.
