Business

I write about business ownership, acquisitions, and the things I have learned from actually doing this work. Posts like "From Well Drilling to Success" and "The Difference Between Inexperienced and Experienced Business Owners" cover the practical side of running and buying companies.

"From Well Drilling to Success" is about one of my favorite entrepreneurs I have never met: Randy Holt. His story stuck with me because it shows what happens when someone just keeps going.

"The Difference Between Inexperienced and Experienced Business Owners" hit a nerve. The gap between new and seasoned owners usually shows up in one area: how quickly they make tough personnel decisions. That post gets into why.

"Scalepath: I Just Acquired My First Company!" is the one where I announced buying a majority stake in Scalepath. Writing about acquisitions while you are in the middle of one feels different from writing about them in hindsight.

I also wrote "I'm Starting A New Business: Business Coach List" because finding the right business coach can be a frustrating experience, and I wanted to share what I learned during my own search.

Nine posts and growing. I write about what is actually happening in my business life, not polished case studies.
